I was asked to make a birthday card for a Dallas Cowboys fan.

So here are photos of the process. Oh, they asked for red roses, which surprisingly I didn't have, but made do with Mums.
Using all the red Distress inks I had, I played around with shading was able to paint them a lovely variety of red.
I fussy cut the flowers all the way to the line, and used Copic RV69 to line the edges so no white shows.
Now to get the other elements going...
And put them all together.
I ended up tossing the idea of using a banner since there was already so much going on with multiple flowers and leaves and the different colors on the star. Then I needed to know if it was ok to place the word HAPPY where I did for spacing purposes.
I ended up with this:

And here's the finished product, adding some Nuvo Drops and not-so-Glossy Accents (I need to get a new bottle).

I think they will be very pleased with it. (fingers crossed). What do you think?
