(Almost) handmade invitations

So I’m co-hosting my bff’s baby shower and guess who volunteered herself to make the paper invitations? That’s right, moi.
She wanted an elephant theme, and luckily I have plenty of those, thanks to Lawn Fawn. We are going to have fun with these for the actual shower – there’s so much you can do with baby elephants!

Oh, I say “almost” handmade because I didn’t want to have to write out all the event info 11 times (for the 11 paper invitations)… so thankfully my printer decided to be my friend and work for me.
I even tried creating a video for this, with the help of my trusty Director of Photography – my son Kingsley. There were some hiccoughs with lighting and running out of space on my recording equipment, so alas, no video (yet).
I used Copic markers to color the elephants, and Lawn Fawn border dies. The sea green card stock I found from a stash my mom had acquired years ago, and the ribbon is from my beloved Daiso store. If you’ve never heard of it, you need to find one. It’s basically the $1.50 version of the 99 Cents Only store, but Japanese ingenuity and cuteness threw up all over it. It’s heaven, I’m telling you.
If you know me, you know that when I’m told to make a bunch of the same card, it never ends up that way. There always is a variance.
So here are some of the finished products:
So that's all for now - I hope you liked it! I'll let you know how the shower went.
Thanks for stopping by!
